£6.5 million in loans for West Midlands SMEs
An extra £6.5 million of regional development agency-administered money will be made available for not-for-profit organisations lending to small and medium sized businesses in the West Midlands next year.
An extra £2 million has been added to Advantage West
Midlands' Advantage Small Loan Programme. The programme, which provides
loans to organisations such as not-for-profit business lenders, was due
to end in December, but this is intended to allow it to continue to
operate until at least June.
The remaining £4.5 million - half of which comes from the European
Regional Development Fund, the other half from AWM - will be opened to
applications in December. It is intended to provide not-for-profit
business lenders with longer-term funding through to 2013.
