Grant-in-Aid Funding: Launch of Pre Bidding Round for 2009/10
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) also gives grant-in-aid to voluntary and comunity organisations, charities, social enterprises, cooperatives and mutuals.
HMRC recognises that the Third Sector has community expertise and has made funding available to organiations that can help HMRC enable hard-to-reach individuals and business get the right entitlements and pay the right amount of tax.
The amount of grant-in-aid funding announced for 2009/2010 is £1.05 million, with another £1.28 million available for 2010/2011. Funding for 2011/2012 is provisionally set at £2 million.
Key customer groups HMRC wants to reach include: BMEs; migrant workers; pre-pensioner and pensioners; low income and one parent families; disabled and other vulnerable groups.
The deadline for pre-bids (submitted electronically) for 2009/10 is 12 November 2008.
