Birmingham LGBT Community Trust has been commissioned by Birmingham City Council to design a survey to find out what are the real issues and needs for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans and who live, work or socialise in Birmingham.
The survey is confidential and takes about twenty minutes to complete. You cannot be identified by it and we only ask for the first three digits of your post-code to find out which part of the city you live in.

Fircroft College of Adult Education in Selly Oak, Birmingham has announced its new programme for short residential courses running between September 2010 and March 2011.
Most courses last three days and many are tailored to the voluntary and community sector; including Report Writing, Successful Fundraising and Bid Writing, Training the Trainer, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, Understanding Budgets and Finance and Minute Taking. Longer programmes leading to accredited qualifications include Community Development, First Line Management (ILM), PTLLS and Managing Diversity and Equality.

• Support in accessing funding and writing a bid
• Free good practice toolkit in working with volunteers with learning disabilities
• Information and evidence that will assist you in evidencing equalities impact assessment.

Daycare Trust is pleased to announce another series of free training sessions for voluntary and community organisations working with parents. We have a number of different courses all delivered by experienced trainers who are experts in their field.
Courses this year will be: Help with childcare costs; Encouraging take-up of childcare in black, minority and ethnic communities and Childcare information and advocacy.
